From humble beginnings as a cafe, our primary goal was to delight the public with delectable cuisine while spreading love and joy. As our business flourished, we ventured into diverse avenues, including the production of Otak-Otak. One of our esteemed founders, hails from Muar, Johor, and has relished this delicacy throughout his life. Fueled by or founders’ passion for exploration, we sought to honor tradition with a unique twist, giving birth to Corals Otak-Otak.
Initially, our knowledge of Otak-Otak was limited, and we embarked on an experimental journey filled with countless trials, testing, and persistent trial and error. It took us nearly a year of meticulous refinement before we were ready to introduce it to the world. Our early endeavors were conducted on a small scale, requiring us to personally visit the midnight market in pursuit of the freshest fish available. Extracting the flesh from each fish was a laborious process, performed painstakingly by hand.
Selecting the appropriate leaf for crafting Otak-Otak proved to be a daunting task as well. Wenavigated the learning curve, discovering the intricacies of cleaning the leaves, which proved to be a meticulous and time-consuming endeavor. It involved a series of manual tasks, including washing, soaking, scraping, and precise measurement, all carried out by hand.

As time progressed, the resounding success of our Otak-Otak propelled us into the spotlight, attracting an ever-growing customer base. In a significant milestone, we proudly unveiled our inaugural exhibition booth in 2021, leaving a lasting impression on attendees and receiving an overwhelming response.
Obtaining the coveted halal certification proved to be an arduous journey, one filled with challenges. However, with unwavering determination, we overcome each obstacle and achieved this significant milestone. Our expansion and increased demand prompted us to invest in cutting-edge machinery and equipment. The addition of a state-of-the-art fish deboner, a large-scale mixer, and an enhanced griller enabled us to raise the bar, ensuring our customers receive unparalleled quality in every product.
With our brand gaining further recognition, we enthusiastically participated in subsequent exhibitions, marking our second and third apprearances. Today, Corals Otak-Otak has become a fixture at various celebrations, parties, and even BBQ gatherings, enhancing the joyous atmosphere with our delectable offerings.
